In light of the 2022 Qatar World Cup, we thought it would be interesting to create a ranking of the top 10 European stadiums with the highest number of ratings recorded on Google.

10. Anfield (Liverpool, UK)

This stadium is owned by the English football team Liverpool F.C. with a capacity of 53,394 spectators.

It takes the last place on the list with only 37,651 reviews, which have an average rating of 4.7 stars.

9. Old Trafford (Stretford, UK)

The “Theatre of Dreams” is the largest club stadium in the country owned by Manchester United with a capacity of 74,310 spectators.

It obtains the ninth position after obtaining 40,599 reviews, which have an average rating of 4.6 stars, one of the lowest ratings in the top.

8. Juventus Stadium (Turin, Italy)

The presence of the Juventus Stadium in the TOP is surprising because its capacity (41,507) is not among the 90 European stadiums with the most capacity. It is owned by Juventus Turin with a capacity of 41,507 spectators.

It achieves the eighth position after obtaining 44,558 reviews, a large number considering that the stadium’s capacity is more limited than the others in the top, and its average rating is 4.7 stars.

7. Wembley Stadium (Wembley, UK)

The presence of Wembley Stadium in this ranking is very important to consider, as it only opens its doors for international matches and social events. It belongs to the English national team and has 90,000 spectators.

It achieves a good seventh position after obtaining 47,010 reviews, taking into account that it opens on limited occasions, which means that a large number of reviews are generated on those few occasions, achieving an average rating of 4.6 stars.

6. Estádio da Luz (Lisbon, Portugal)

This stadium belongs to the Portuguese club S.L. Benfica and has a capacity of 65,000 spectators.

It occupies the sixth place in the top by obtaining almost 50,000 reviews with an average rating of 4.6 stars, one of the lowest in the top.

5. Cívitas Metropolitano (Madrid, Spain)

The fifth place is for the Madrid stadium owned by Club Atlético de Madrid with a capacity of 68,456 spectators.

It is worth mentioning that the Cívitas Metropolitano occupies the 5th position in the ranking with only 5 years since its inception, obtaining 54,180 reviews with an average rating of 4.6 stars.

4. Allianz Arena (Munich, Germany)

The fourth position goes to the German stadium owned by Bayern Munich with a capacity of 75,024 spectators.

It accumulates a total of 58,463 reviews with an average rating of 4.6 stars, one of the lowest in the top, but also the most repeated rating in the top.

3. San Siro (Milan, Italy)

The Italian stadium has a special characteristic as matches of 2 clubs are played in it: Inter Milan and AC Milan. It has a capacity of 80,018 spectators.

San Siro is the 3rd stadium with the most reviews due, in large part, to the fact that two great teams from the city and the continent (AC Milan & Inter Milan) play their matches there.

It accumulates 69,345 reviews with an average rating of 4.7 stars.

2. Santiago Bernabéu (Madrid, Spain)

Another Madrid stadium enters the top to secure the second position. It belongs to Real Madrid C.F. and has a capacity of 81,044 spectators.

The Bernabéu Tour receives more than 3,000 daily visitors, making it one of the main tourist attractions, with a large number of reviews. Specifically, surpassing the 100,000 mark, it accumulates a total of 120,161 reviews with an average rating of 4.6 stars.

1. Spotify Camp Nou (Barcelona, Spain)

The third Spanish stadium and number 1 in the top belongs to F.C. Barcelona with a capacity of 99,354 spectators.

It is the largest stadium in Europe and one of the reasons why it has accumulated over 140,000 reviews with an average rating of 4.6 stars.

Conclusions

If we add up the reviews of the 3 Spanish stadiums (314,332), we can see that they are only 9% below the rest (345,903).

In this top, we do not find any French stadiums. The Parc des Princes, belonging to PSG (the most important club in the country), has only 24,113 reviews.

With the exception of the Sagrada Familia, the two main Spanish stadiums have more reviews than the main national monuments (Palacio Real, Museo del Prado, La Alhambra…).
